Minda S.I.H.A.T.
Essentials

A tired operator makes unsafe decisions. Minda S.I.H.A.T. is a half-day mental health awareness programme delivered entirely in Bahasa Malaysia, built for the production floor that gives your frontline operators practical tools to manage stress, stay alert, and look out for each other.

S.I.H.A.T. stands for Sedar, Imbang, Hentikan, Ambil, Tanya - five skills, not five concepts. Each one is something an operator can use on the line the same afternoon. HRD Corp claimable.

WHO THIS PROGRAMME IS FOR

Designed for teams on the
floor.

Delivered in-house across Kuala Lumpur, Klang Valley, Penang, Johor Bahru, and Malaysia-wide.

Production operators and factory floor employees - the people whose alertness keeps the line safe.
EHS teams looking to reduce fatigue-related incidents at the source.
Shift supervisors and team leads who support frontline workers day to day.
HR teams embedding mental health awareness at the operator level, in a language the floor speaks.

WHY THIS MATTERS

Fatigue is a safety risk.

On a production line, stress and tiredness don't stay in someone's head - they show up as slower reactions, lapses in focus, and the kind of small mistakes that become incidents.

Most operator-level mental health training fails before it starts: it's in the wrong language, too long, too theoretical, and pitched at a desk worker. This programme is the opposite. It's delivered in Bahasa Malaysia, runs in short high-energy blocks, and uses real factory-floor scenarios.

The S.I.H.A.T. framework treats each step as a skill, not a concept - something an operator can use on the line the same afternoon. The goal isn't awareness for its own sake. It's a more alert, more supported, safer floor.

Minda S.I.H.A.T. was developed and refined through delivery with Robert Bosch (Malaysia) - one of the largest manufacturing employers in Penang. The programme was designed to work in a real production environment: shift constraints, operator fatigue, mixed literacy levels, and the particular dynamics of a Bahasa Malaysia-speaking floor.

70%
of session time is hands-on activity — built so operators move, practise, and remember.
2.2M
Malaysia's manufacturing sector employs over 2.2 million workers — the largest single employment category in the country. Yet most workplace mental health programmes are designed for office environments, in English, at a desk. Minda S.I.H.A.T. is the exception: built for the floor, not the boardroom. WHAT PARTICIPANTS GAIN

Three things that shift
after this workshop.

01
Lower Fatigue-Related Risk
Operators learn to spot their own early warning signs and connect tiredness with the safety risks it creates - catching problems before they become incidents.
02
A Stronger Peer-Support Culture
Using a simple conversation framework, operators learn to approach a struggling colleague - building a floor that looks out for itself and relies less on management intervention.
03
Engagement & Retention
Reduced stress-related absenteeism and presenteeism, plus a visible investment in wellbeing that operators feel - supporting engagement and retention on the line.

LEARNING OUTCOMES

By the end of this programme,
participants will be able to

01

Explain what mental health means in everyday language, without embarrassment.

02

Identify at least three early warning signs of stress in themselves.

03

Connect fatigue with the safety risks it creates on the production line.

04

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Common questions about this programme.

What is Minda S.I.H.A.T.?

Minda S.I.H.A.T. is a half-day mental health awareness programme designed specifically for production operators and frontline workers in Malaysian manufacturing environments. It is delivered entirely in Bahasa Malaysia and uses the S.I.H.A.T. framework - Sedar, Imbang, Hentikan, Ambil, Tanya - five practical skills that operators can apply on the production line. The programme was developed and validated through delivery with Robert Bosch (Malaysia) and is fully HRDC claimable.

Is this training programme HRDC claimable?

Yes. Minda S.I.H.A.T. is fully approved under HRD Corp SBL-Khas and 100% claimable for eligible Malaysian employers. Submit your application through e-TRiS at least 14 days before the training date. Physis prepares all documentation - programme details, trainer credentials, attendance records, and post-training claim submission - at no additional cost.

How long is this programme?

Minda S.I.H.A.T. Essentials is a half-day programme running 4 hours. It is designed to fit within a shift structure and meets HRD Corp's minimum duration requirements for half-day claimable training. 70% of the session is hands-on activity - movement-based, practical, and built so operators stay engaged throughout. A full-day version is available on request for organisations that want deeper coverage.

Who should attend this programme?

Minda S.I.H.A.T. is designed for production operators and frontline workers - the people on the floor whose alertness and focus directly affect workplace safety. It is also valuable for shift supervisors and team leads who support frontline teams, EHS professionals looking to address fatigue and stress at the source, and HR teams embedding mental health awareness at the operator level. The programme is delivered in Bahasa Malaysia and does not require any prior knowledge of mental health topics.

What does S.I.H.A.T. stand for?

S.I.H.A.T. stands for:

S - Sedar Emosi Diri (Recognise Your Emotions)

I - Imbang Kerja & Rehat (Balance Work and Rest)

H - Hentikan Fikiran Negatif (Stop Negative Thinking)

A - Ambil Masa untuk Diri (Take Time for Yourself)

T - Tanya & Berkongsi (Ask for Help and Share)

Each letter is a skill, not a concept - something participants can practise and apply immediately on the production line. SIHAT also means 'healthy' in Bahasa Malaysia. The framework was designed so the name itself carries the programme's purpose.

Can this programme be customised for our organisation?

Yes. Role-play scenarios, case studies, and examples are customised for your industry, production environment, and workforce context during pre-training consultation. The S.I.H.A.T. framework remains the structural core; the scenarios are adapted to reflect the real situations your operators face - shift pressure, safety culture, team dynamics, and the specific stressors of your production environment.

How many participants can attend?

Minda S.I.H.A.T. is designed for groups of 15-30 participants per session. The activity-based format works best with larger groups - more participants means richer role-play and peer learning. For large workforces, multiple cohorts can be scheduled across shifts. Contact us to discuss the right configuration for your operation.

Where is this training programmed delivered?

At your premises - on-site, in your production facility or training room. Physis delivers Minda S.I.H.A.T. across Kuala Lumpur, Klang Valley (Selangor), Penang, Johor Bahru, and Malaysia-wide. The programme is designed to be delivered in a factory or industrial environment, and does not require a corporate training room setup. Contact us to discuss logistics for your site.

Is this available in English?

Minda S.I.H.A.T. Essentials is delivered in Bahasa Malaysia. It is specifically designed for Bahasa Malaysia-speaking production teams - the language, examples, and cultural references are built for that context. For English-language mental health awareness training for your management layer, we recommend our Mental Health Awareness for Leaders programme or our Mental Health Awareness and First Aid programme.

How is this different from the other Physis mental health programmes?

Minda S.I.H.A.T. is the only Physis programme delivered in Bahasa Malaysia and designed specifically for production operators and frontline workers. The other two Physis mental health programmes - Mental Health Awareness and First Aid (for all employees, English) and Mental Health Awareness for Leaders (for managers and supervisors, English) - are designed for office and management environments. Many organisations run Minda S.I.H.A.T. for their operator workforce alongside one or both of the English-language programmes for their management layer.
